As 2024 comes to an end we at Golden Thread have been reflecting on the success we’ve had this year. We decided to break the year down by milestones…
Fire Safety & Evacuation Seminar
In June this year we organized a Fire Safety & Evacuation Seminar held at the University of Surrey. Our Marketing team recruited over 100 attendees and 15 expert speakers from top fire safety organisations, and we can safely say the day was a success. We and our guests built new relationships as well as spreading awareness and strengthening existing relationships.
EO Celebration
Also in June, we celebrated Employee Ownership Day, reminding us that everyone within the company is instrumental in ensuring its success. As part of our celebrations, we went offsite for team-bonding games, where trust, collaboration and communication were key.
London Build
Fast Forwarding to November, we exhibited at London Build for the first time, displaying a Final Exit Door, Firestopping examples, case studies, reference documents and 5 of our smiling team members. Over the 2 days we introduced our services to new clients, connected with suppliers, and had great conversations with many colleagues within the fire safety industry.
Careers Evening
Our Assistant Contracts Manager and Sales Coordinator represented the company at Anglo European School’s careers evening.
Golden Thread Fire Delay has supported the school through several initiatives for many years and the event was held to give pupils and their parents an insight into career options and opportunities.
ASFP Awards
Another first for Golden Thread Fire Delay: being shortlisted for the ASFP awards. What an achievement! Although we didn’t walk away with an award, we were thrilled to be shortlisted for the Best Large-Scale Installation/Project of The Year for our ongoing works at Canada Water with Wates Group.
Along with many corporate and social events, we have celebrated personal growth from multiple members on staff commencing training courses in leadership & management, project management and construction degrees. Not forgetting our technical manager Moe who was elected to the ASFP Council.
As we have continued to grow, we have gained a Commercial Director, Sales Manager, H&S Manager, Quality Assessor, Commercial Administrator and more. Large projects completed include work with Homerton Healthcare NHS Trust, Greenwich University, The Stage, Shoreditch, and ongoing works with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Greenwich University, and 41 Lothbury.
We look forward to 2025 and hope for even more success.
