Unique Challenges
Working within student accommodation presents many challenges, such as dealing with a high occupancy level with many students living in close quarters and sharing common areas like kitchens and lounges, which complicates fire safety management. To minimise disruption to the occupants, we adjust our working hours to quieter times to minimise disturbance. environment.
Based on our extensive expertise with student accommodation, we often encounter inadequately remediated penetrations in plant rooms, risers, corridors, and within individual units where service pipes enter above apartment entrance doors. Addressing significant passive fire issues often requires further investigation, which may also require working in the residential units themselves.
