Managing & Maintaining Fire Doors
As part of our service, we offer CPD training for individuals responsible for conducting comprehensive in-house inspections of fire doors within their healthcare buildings, in accordance with relevant legislation.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
To provide delegates with a thorough overview of fire doors within healthcare premises, with a specific focus on the management and maintenance of timber fire doors.
INTERACTIVE APPROACH:
The training is designed to be interactive, encouraging delegates to present their questions throughout the sessions. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a 5-hour CPD Certificate of Attendance.

- Comprehensive coverage of the regulations, tests, and standards applicable to fire doors.

- Detailed knowledge of the different types of fire doors and their critical components.
- Specifications and Tolerances
- Outline of the specifications and tolerances required for achieving and maintaining fire door compliance.
- Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance Procedures
- Clear understanding of the various inspection, repair, and maintenance procedures, including required levels of competence, written protocols, and pass/fail criteria.
- Application in Building Fire Strategy
- How to apply this knowledge in the context of a building’s fire strategy, considering its complexity, size, use, and various stakeholders, along with their corporate and individual responsibilities.
- A hands-on site-based workshop designed to allow participants to implement the knowledge gained.
