Sem Kneeshaw, Managing Director of Fire Delay has become one of the first people in the country to be awarded a Level 3 qualification in Passive Fire Protection.

The new qualification, which is the first in the UK and Ireland to enable candidates to study and obtain a recognised professional standard in PFP, has been developed in partnership between the ASFP (Association of Specialist Fire Protection) and the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) specifically to provide recognised competency for individuals who have attained the essential knowledge and understanding to work efficiently and safely in Passive Fire Protection roles.

Sem was awarded his certificate by ASFP CEO Niall Rowan at the launch of the new Golden Thread Fire Delay joint venture in April and in July we were delighted to congratulate Fire Delay’s Quality Manager Pat Gawthorn and Surveyor Callum Craig in passing the Level 2 qualification.
