Moe Elmasry with ASFP Managing Director Mike Ward and Operations Director Nadine Saxon
GTFD Technical Manager Moe Elmasry has been chosen to Chair an ASFP technical group of 23, consisting of passive fire protection experts and specialists from manufacturing, testing, installation, inspection, and technology firms within the industry.
They are tasked with writing a new ASFP guidance document on how to record and store a ‘golden thread of information’ in compliance with Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations. This has been founded on the back of The Hackitt Review findings.
On this achievement, Moe expressed he is “very excited to continue supporting the ASFP in writing and issuing the Gold Book. The Golden Thread of information is of the utmost importance for our industry to ensure compliance with the regulations is met and for ease of future maintenance and operations of all fire safety measures.”
This is the ninth technical group of the ASFP, titled TG9. The guidance will be published in The Gold Book, highlighting the relationship to the golden thread of information.
