Here at Golden Thread Fire Delay, we believe that business and sustainability go hand in hand – The world is changing and the time for net zero is now! We have just received business certification from Planet Mark for our commitment for a net zero future and efforts in measuring carbon associated with our operations. As a team, we have made we 0 to reduce our emissions over the last 3 years. All our company vehicles are electric; while reducing the number of vehicles we have on the road daily and use public transport where possible.
Planet Mark is an internationally recognised leader in net zero certification, with over 12 years of experience in helping reduce carbon emissions, achieve net zero targets and generate long-term business value.
Receiving the Planet Mark Certified – Business accreditation is the first step of us committing to measure our full carbon footprint.
We have measured our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 carbon emissions and now have our net zero baseline.
We now move to stage 2 of our Planet Mark Net Zero Certification.
Neil Griffiths – QMS Manager, Golden Thread Fire Delay Ltd said:
“We aim to have a Carbon Reduction plan in place as part of our Pathway to Net Zero by the end of this financial year. This requires us to measure and track scope 3 emissions (which includes carbon emissions associated with the manufacturer, our employees’ journeys to work, and waste and material end-of-lifecycle) which is probably the hardest step, but we are looking at having that in place by the end of March 2025.”
“We have actually made sustained decreases in carbon emissions since 2022.”
According to Planet Mark, 73% of businesses will prioritise net zero in the next 12 months. Watch this powerful video from Planet Mark, for more insights: https://youtu.be/5q8rTA4DV3E
